Guest Code of Conduct
Effective Date: August 12, 2026 Last Updated: August 12, 2026
This Code of Conduct ("Code") describes the standards every Gated Greens guest accepts — at application and again at every booking. It applies to every visit you make to a member's club through gatedgreens.com or our applications (the "Platform"). By checking the acknowledgment box at checkout, you agree to uphold every standard in this Code.
This Code works together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Guest Waiver of Liability.
1. The Standard You Are Held To
You are a guest at a private club, introduced by a member who vouched for you. Your conduct reflects directly on that member — their standing at their club is on the line every time they host you.
- Respect each member's club, its staff, and its rules — written and unwritten.
- Honor every confirmed experience. If plans change, give notice that respects the member's time.
- Treat club staff with the same courtesy you extend to the member hosting you.
2. Club Rules Come First
Every club sets its own rules, and they are incorporated into this Code by reference for each visit:
- Dress code. Follow the club's published dress code without exception. Your member host will brief you before the visit — when in doubt, ask.
- Accompaniment. Most clubs require your member host to accompany you at all times, especially on the golf course. Stay with your host unless the club's rules explicitly permit otherwise.
- Visit caps. Clubs cap individual guests at a set number of visits per year (typically 5–7). Do not attempt to circumvent a cap through separate bookings or different hosts.
- Guests of guests. You may not bring additional people to a booking beyond those included when it was made.
- Course and property care. Pace of play, course care, photography, and mobile-phone policies vary by club — follow what is posted and what your host tells you.
3. Substances
- Alcohol is served through the club's own licensed operation. Drink responsibly; a club may refuse service under its own policies.
- Cigars are permitted only where the club designates. Experiences that welcome cigars are labeled.
- Cigarettes are permitted only at experiences that explicitly opt in, and only where the club designates.
- Cannabis and illegal substances are prohibited on club property in every form, without exception. Violation ends your Gated Greens membership immediately.
4. Privacy — What Happens in the Room Stays in the Room
The community is private. Member identities, club access, and experiences shared within the room stay within the room.
- Do not publicly identify a member host, their club, or other guests without their explicit consent.
- Do not post photos or recordings that identify members, other guests, or club staff without consent — and follow each club's photography policy regardless.
- Do not use the Platform, or contacts made through it, for solicitation, promotion, or commercial recruitment.
5. Conduct That Ends Membership
Conduct unbecoming a guest of the room ends your membership. This includes:
- Verbal abuse or harassment of members, guests, or club staff.
- No-shows without notice, or repeated late cancellations.
- Public disclosure of the room — identifying members or the community in public or press without consent.
- Misrepresenting your identity, qualifications, or verification status.
- Any violation of the substance policy in §3.
- Any conduct that causes a club to raise a complaint with your member host or with Gated Greens.
Gated Greens may suspend or end a guest membership for any violation of this Code, with or without prior warning depending on severity. Where a booking is cancelled for a Code violation, the Terms of Service govern any refund.
6. Questions
If you are ever unsure what a club expects of you, ask your member host before the visit — they would rather answer a question than manage a violation.
